Obituary for David Allen Vance

David Allen Vance
David Allen Vance, age 37, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday June 10, 2018. David was born on May 22, 1981 in Dallas, Texas to David H. Vance and Leisa Raley. David was a 2000 graduate of Winnsboro High School. He was blessed with the birth of his son Braydon Allen Vance 12 years ago and had continued to live in the Winnsboro community while working as a radiographer for Acuren in Longview, Texas. David was a passionate lover of art and took great pride in creating beautiful pieces of handmade woodwork.
David had a smile which could light up a room instantly and his laughter was contagious. Always inquisitive he questioned everything and was a deep thinker. From a little boy on up to a man he loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Along with drawing, woodwork, and fishing David enjoyed crafting works of art out of metal.
David loved his son with all of his heart. Something as simple as standing in the yard and throwing a football with Braydon filled his heart with joy. Braydon was his inspiration in life and he wanted nothing more than for his son to never doubt his love for him. He once said, “Braydon is the one thing in my life I know is right.”
In the past year and a half David had worked tirelessly to change his life. He chose to walk with the Lord the day he found salvation and was baptized in the waters of Lake Cypress. He professed his love to Jesus Christ and knew he would have a forever home when he left his earthly one. David was a member of Cartwright Baptist Church. He was born again and loved sitting in church with his mom and son each Sunday morning.
David is survived by his mother Leisa Raley, his father David H. Vance, his sister Katy Perez (husband Felipe Perez), his son Braydon Allen Vance, his niece Reyna Perez, his nephew Nico Perez, and so many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund for his son at FNB Winnsboro.
Visitation will be at noon on Saturday June 16, 2018 with the funeral service following at 2pm located at Beaty Funeral Home. The burial will take place at Smyrna Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his grandmother and grandfather.
