Betty Jo  Thompson (McClure)
Mrs. Betty Jo Thompson, age 81 of Tyler formerly of Mineola, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Tyler. She was born on May 29, 1936 in Rising Star, Texas to the late Frank McClure and Opal McClure.
Mrs. Thompson graduated from Providence Nursing School in Waco, Texas and went on to serve as a registered nurse at hospitals in Waco, Arlington, Amarillo and Ft. Worth. She was a member of Harvest Acres Baptist Church in Mineola, the Mineola Study Club, the Mineola Garden Club and the D.A.R. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Kennith Thompson as well as her parents. She was a faithful follower of her savior Jesus Christ, a loving and devoted wife and mother "Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also and he praises her" Proverbs 31:28
She is survived by sons, Mark Thompson and his wife Judy of Golden, Kevin Thompson and his wife Karen of Grand Prairie; daughter, Dawn Parnell and her husband Dennis of Tyler; four grandchildren, Katy, Andy, Catia and Zoe and four great grandchildren, Devon, Cayden, Noah and Emile Kate.
Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens 5396 S. State Hwy 37 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 11:00 am, Dr. Mark Thompson conducting.
