Sue Gatewood (Hamill)
Mrs. Sue Gatewood, age 94 of Mineola, passed away on Friday, January 19th, in Quitman. She was born on August 8, 1923 in Wood County to the late George Hamill and Ida Spinger Hamill. She was a retired, farmer, rancher and homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Gatewood; daughters, Martha Sue Blake and Linda Jarvis; son Douglas Randall Gatewood.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Drinkwater of Alba, TX; nine grandchildren, Toby Nix, Shay Poskey, Barbara Miller, Wayde Alexander, Kim Green, Ben Alexander, Adam Gatewood, Damita Williams, Joshua Slayton; numero us great grandchildren and serveral great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church 2803 FM 779 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Don Masters conducting, interment will follow at Pilgram Rest #2 in Mineola, with Wayde Alexander, Michael Williams, Joshua Slayton, Keaton Simmons. Ben Alexander and Marc Poskey serving as pallbearers.
