Irene Marrs, age 94 of Pickton, passed away on Monday, October 9th, 2017 in Winnsboro,
Texas. She was born on August 5th, 1923 in Lamesa, Texas, to A.L. Barker and Ethel Barker. She was a retired Day Care Operator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin Elmo Marrs: son’s, Jerry Hamilton Marrs and Ben Mark Marrs, as well as several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by, daughter and son in law, Sherry and Charles Sharber of Sulphur Springs; son and daughter in law, Terry and Jane Marrs; sister, Dorothy Plyler of Washington State; Grandchildren, Shelly Wiser, Carrie Beth Cooper, Brandon Marrs, Melissa Collie, Rusty Marrs, T.J. Marrs, Rebecca Marrs. Fourteen great grandchildren and Eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm, Rev. James Ross officiating, interment will follow at the New Pickton Cemetery in Pickton, with T.J. Marrs, D.J. Carr, Rusty Marrs, Mark Standifered, David Carr, Stephan Barclay, Brad Carr, Junior Brumley serving as pallbearers.
