Norene Reneau Blundell, age 99 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, September 28th, 2017 in Winnsboro. She was born on June 15th, 1918 in Wood County, Texas, to Ernest and Edna (Jones) Smith. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro and worked for many years as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vern Reneau in 1974, daughter, Bennie Neighbors, as well as her parents and 5 brothers and sisters. She is survived by, son-Larry Reneau, son-Rickey Reneau, son-in-law Don Neighbors, brother-Tom Smith, sister-Dorothy Mosier, sister-Maxine Stroud, 5 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many other realtives and friends.. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Henry Suche officiating, interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas, with grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Pickton United Methodist Church, PO Box 2, Pickton, Texas 75471.
