A beautiful, kind soul peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the age of 87. Patricia Ann Patterson Taylor was born on March 31, 1930, in Arlington into the large family of Leo Patterson, Sr. and Stella Cecile Patterson. Patricia was the youngest of the Patterson siblings, Nancy, Leo, Preston, WH, Margaret, Dorothy, and Ruby Lee. She married the love of her life, Lester K. Taylor in August 1949, at College Station where he was a student at Texas A&M. Their family grew to include Laura Cecile Taylor, Lesliann Taylor Ortega, and Karen Taylor Wisdom. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her daughter Laura Cecile, and by her husband of 67 years who passed away in 2016. Patricia and Les made homes and found wonderful, life-long friends in Shreveport, Greenville, and Hawkins. Three years ago, they moved to Plano to be near family. Patricia is survived by daughter Lesliann Ortega and her husband Jesse, daughter Karen Taylor Wisdom and her husband Fritz, grandson Robert Lenore and his wife Gari-Ann, grandson Keith Lenore and his wife Kerry, beautiful great granddaughters Kylie Jane Lenore, age 7, Katelyn Taylor Lenore, age 5, and Kinley Christine Lenore, age 2-1/2 months, and extended family members.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, with burial and graveside service by Dr. Mark Neeley at Cedars Memorial Garden in Mineola at 10:00 am on August 2, 2017. Pallbearers will be Robert Lenore, Keith Lenore, Jesse Ortega, Bob Cross, James Musser, and Fritz Wisdom.
