Jack Wylie  Gailey
Jack Wylie Gailey, 94, of Mineola, went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2017. After a career in avionics with Collins Radio/Rockwell, Jack and his devoted wife Mary Margaret Kyser Gailey retired to Rock Falls and spent time working with the Texas Baptist Men Church Builders.
Jack was born on March 10, 1923 in Bardwell, Texas to Samuel Wallace Gailey and Viola Pearl Whiteside. He married Billie Marie Tapp on July 14, 1942 and to that union four daughters were born. After Billie’s death in 1959, Jack married Patricia Ann Adams (1935-1976) and fathered two sons.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved step-father Charles Cash, his brother Sam Jr, two wives, his sons Patrick Edward Gailey and Chandler Wallace Gailey, and stepson Kevin Kip Kimbrell. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Joan Holm of Idaho Falls, ID, Susan Johnston of Whitney, TX, Jackie Coffin of Monticello, IN, and Janet Wagnon of Sadler, TX, Krista Kimbrell of Quitman, TX, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Mineola. Funeral service will follow visitation at 11 am, officiated by Dr. Mark Neeley. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
