Obituary for Jenny Bunn
Jenny B. Bunn, 87, of Mineola, died with her family at her bedside on May 31, 2017. Jenny was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on July 22, 1929, to the late Guild and Arless Vandiver. She graduated from Mineola High School in 1946 and went on to attend Tyler Commercial College.
She married the late Elmer P. Bunn on September 4, 1948 and they raised two sons, Alan and Gary, in Ft.Worth, Texas. Jenny worked for 25 years with Lenox Air Conditioning, before retiring. Upon retirement, Elmer and Jenny returned to Mineola and named their dream home "Little Big Woods," where they entertained friends, family, and especially grandchildren for many years. Jenny was known as a genuinely kind woman, one who made those around her feel welcome and loved.
She is survived by her two sons, Alan Bunn of Hitchcock, Texas, and Gary Bunn of Vancouver, Washington; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her sister, Claudine York of Mineola.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX, officiated by Rev. Larry York. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX.
