Gary E. Garner, 66, of Quitman, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 in Tyler. He was born on Monday, December 4, 1950 in Dallas, TX to the late Edgar Burl and Mary Edith Garner. Mr. Garner was a member of the Cartwright Baptist Church, Winnsboro. He was retired with the US Army, and a member of the Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge #1213.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward Wayne Garner and Carl Ray Garner.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Beth Garner; three sons, James Garner of Quitman, Michel Garner and wife Nicole of Navasota, TX, Danny Garner of Mt. Pleasant, TX; daughter, Samantha Garner of Quitman; brother, Glen Fred Garner and wife Jan of Coffman County, TX; three sisters, Carolyn Sue Garner of Temple, TX, Doris Ann Edwards and husband Dwayne of Athens, TX, Pat Marie Fields and husband Troy of Grandview, TX; three grandchildren, Cade Garner, Caleb Garner, Cason Garner and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled from 6PM – 8PM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.
Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Cartwright Baptist Church, 267 CR 4896, Winnsboro, Texas 75494, with Bro. Cody Mize officiating. Interment will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.
