Nancy Ann Glejzer Reid, 79, of Winnsboro, TX passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the home of her family in Winnsboro, TX.
She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on February 8, 1938 to the late Walter Henry Glejzer and Margaret ( Peg) Phelan Glejzer.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Barbara Glejzer and Patricia Glejzer and her husband Max Earl Reid.
Nancy graduated from Somerville High School in the summer of 1956. Later in May 1985, she received her Associate Degree in Business Management, on the President's List, from Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.
She was very versed in her years of employment, but the best was in the jewelry business. She worked for Montgomery Wards in Tyler, Texas in the 1990's. In September1994 she received the Golden Medallion Service Award. Her outstanding performance in Customer Service and Sales was 100%. The best they have ever seen.
She went on to work for the Foley's/Macy's Jewelry department. Her final sales job was with Jewels by Joe Henry, in Lindale,Texas. When Owner's Joe and Peggy Wells found she moved to Lindale, they knew she needed to be a member of their Jewelry Family.
Nancy decided to try something new and joined her family at the Double C Steakhouse in Winnsboro. She was a waitress, hostess, baker and anything else she thought she could do. Nancy's love for people gave her the drive to never met a stranger, she made sure the customers had a memorable experience, AND that she did!!
Her and her late husband Max, were very instrumental in starting the VFW in Winnsboro.
She loved to dance and joke. She loved her family, friends, THE SENIOR CITIZEN'S CENTER and her dogs.
Nancy is survived by her 4 children, 2 daughters , Karen Cason and husband Randy of Winnsboro,TX,
Nancy M( Reid) Tito of Whitehouse, Texas, 2 sons, Michael (Mike) Reid and Sherry of Van, and Walter (Rusty) Reid of Tulsa, OK. ;
8 Grandchildren, Christopher Reid ( adopted son), Justin Cason of Winnsboro, TX, Chase Cason and wife Ashley of Midland, TX, Stephen Reid of Whitehouse, TX, Payton Reid of Van TX, , Randi Jo Eaton and Jason Eaton of Whitehouse, TX and Tifani (Reid) Cox of Oklahoma.
11 Great-Grandchildren, Zachary Cason Winnsboro, TX, Blakely Cason and Bodhi Cason of Midland, TX, Zion Reid of Bullard, TX , Maxie Reid and Echo Reid, Katelynn, Kinzlee and Remmington Stafford all of Whitehouse, TX, Shilah Cox and Kaitlyn Cox, of Oklahoma
2 Brothers, Ron Glejzer and wife Bridie of Billerica, Massachusetts and Richard Glejzer of Boxford, Massachusetts: Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE IS SCHEDULED AT ST ANN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH ON SATURDAY APRIL 1st, at 10:00am, BURIAL TO BE AT THE CATHOLIC CEMETARY, directly BEHIND THE CHURCH.

FOLLOWING THE SERVICE :
A RECEPTION TO CELEBRATE NANCY'S LIFE WILL BE HELD AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER 207 EAST PINE ST. WINNSBORO, TX.
