Obituary for Eugene V. White

Mr. Eugene V. White, age 80, of Quitman, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the hospital in Winnsboro. Eugene was born in Wood County on August 10, 1936 to the late J.R. White and Opal Glaze White. He was retired from Lone Star Steel, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabee's, serving during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Christine Burns, Estelle Wallace; and brother, Joe White. He is survived by his wife, Melba Joyce (Worsham) White of Quitman; daughter, Melissa Elrod and husband Todd of Quitman; step-sons, Anthony Youngblood of Quitman, James L. Forrister and wife Teena of Sulphur Springs; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Lison and husband Jonathan of Winnsboro. No services scheduled at this time.
