Richard Cecil  Watkins
Mr. Richard Cecil Watkins, age 74, of Gun Barrel City, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at his home. Ricky was born in Winnsboro on July 4, 1942 to the late Raymond Cecil Watkins and Mary Helen Dossett Watkins. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, a member of the Gun Barrel City American Legion and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janice Gallegos. He is survived by two sons, Richard Clinton Watkins and wife Alice of North Richland Hills, Darrell Keith Watkins of Keller; daughter, Carol Ann Watkins of Grand Prairie; brother, Robert Watkins and wife Judy of Kemp; sisters, Jacquelyn Baker of Gun Barrel City, Faye Bales of Gun Barrel City; five grandchildren, Rusty Hearn, Loren Hearn, Ryan Watkins, Sierra Watkins, Miranda Watkins; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hearn, Bransyn Hearn, Daxton Hearn, and Angel Hamlin. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hopewell Cemetery in Winnsboro, Bro. Ken Jackson officiating; visitation will be held on Saturday as well at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
