Mrs. Dorothy Langham McWhirter, age 87 of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 in Winnsboro. She was born on September 6th, 1929 in Winnsboro to the late J.L. and Bertha Ophelia Thomas Langham. Mrs. McWhirter was retired and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Milton Leon McWhirter on May 12, 2016, and her twin sister, Mary Sue Hutton. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Watkins and husband Ricky Higgins of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Misty Fielden and David Watkins, Jr.; great grandchildren, Michaelya Lindley Watkins, Makayla Harrel and Ryland Watkins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas at 2:00 pm, Rev. Byron George conducting, with Allen Hutton, Ronny Hutton, Ricky Higgins, Dustin Fielden, and David Watkins,Jr. serving as pallbearers.
