Obituary for Carolyn Tunnell

Carolyn Tunnell
Carolyn Tunnell passed away March 2, 2018 in Mineola, TX. She was born November 29,1932, in Ada, Oklahoma. She was raised in Corpus Christi and had been a Wood County resident since 1978, living on her family farm. She was the owner of the Hainsville Store until the mid 80s, then worked for the Mineola High School Cafeteria and was a Wal-Mart greeter until she retired. She was a devoted Catholic, a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and most recently volunteered at ETMC in Quitman.

She is survived by her three children: Robert and Cheryl Vehorn of Hanahan, SC; Richard and Kathy Vehorn of Carrollton, TX; and Rae Vehorn of Mineola, TX; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773 with a rosary to follow at 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 1:00 pm, Rev. Mike Snider celebrant, entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola.
