Susan Elaine  Witt
Susan Elaine Witt, age 54 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at her home in Winnsboro. Susan was born in Dallas on October 15, 1962 to the late Delmus and Betty Jo Bangs Witt. While in high school, Susan was a talented Olympic level tennis player, before injury sidelined her, she was also a talented member of her state champion high school band. She graduated from East Texas State in Commerce, and worked as an Actuary for Fidelity Investments, before retiring to Winnsboro. She was a former marathon runner and cyclist, and was a true friend to animals in need. She is survived by her wife, Terri Connell of Winnsboro; brother, Will Witt and wife Patti of Frisco; and niece, Natalie Witt. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the: Friends of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter, 835 Hope Lane, Winnsboro, TX 75494.
