Mrs. Texana Miller, age 90 of Holly Lake Ranch, passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 in Quitman.
Texana was born to Walter and Georgia Cook in Corsicana, Texas. Their family consisted of 6 children and all grew up in South Dallas.
Texana married her long time friend Everett Miller after high school. They were married for 44 years and were blessed with 3 children.
Texana used to sing in the "Kiddy Club", a children's musical/talent show at the Melba Theatre, which broadcasted on the radio on Saturday mornings in Dallas, Texas.
She also performed in the Red Cross Show singing with her 2 sisters (Emily & Norma) during the WW2. They traveled and sang for our troops in miltary hospitals and bases.
She attended Holly Tree Chapel and was preceded in death by her husband Everett Miller.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen P. Miller of Dallas, Jack E. Miller and his wife Reinette of Houston; daughter, Marilyn Miller of Reston, VA; sister, Emily Bishop of Holly Lake Ranch; two grandchildren, Jackson E. Miller and his wife Kristen and Elissa R. Miller; four great grandchildren, Emma, Max, Lillian and Quinn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holly Tree Chapel 1620 FM 2869 Holly Lake Ranch, Texas 75765.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Holly Tree Chapel at 2:00 pm, Rev. Charles Long conducting interment will follow at Holly Tree Cemetery in Holly Lake Ranch.
