Derrell Montgomery  Hosea
Derrell Montgomery Hosea, was born September 7, 1933 and passed away to be with his Lord and Savior August 26, 2017. After many years of beating the medical odds of a lengthy illness. Derrell loved life and enjoyed sitting on his hill watching the glories of God. He was a veteran of the US Army. After his service he completed his business degree at North Texas University. Moving his family to Mineola in 1967 where he was a manager of Buddy Schoellkopf Industries. He pursued his dreams and was founder of Renegade Boats and Hosea Manufacturing. Derrell was a member of First Baptist Church, Mineola. He was strong is his faith and loved helping people.
Survived by his three children, Ken Hosea of Quitman, Mike Hosea and wife Kristy of College Station and Sherrell Hosea of North Richland Hills. Four amazing grandchildren, Alana Espy and husband Bob, Katelyn Schmidt and husband Dillon, Matthew Lee Hosea and wife Courtney and Crystal Lin Hosea. Blessed to have two great grandchildren Gage Espy and Kynzleigh Schmidt. Also, he leaves a special lady, Mrs Lynn Johnson of Dallas Texas, who was a dear companion. He had many nieces, cousins and friends. Preceded in death are Derrell’s parents, brother, wife and many friends.
The memorial service will be held September 9, 2017 at 1pm at Beaty Funeral Home Mineola. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
