Billy Richard  Crowson Sr.
Billy Richard Crowson Sr, 83, of Quitman, Texas passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017.
The son of William and Ruby Crowson, he was born February 2, 1934 in Stidham, OK and was the oldest of nine children.
He started his career at General Motors in Kansas City and transferred to Arlington in 1954. He was a proud and active member of UAW #276.
Over the years, he was frequently recognized for his outstanding work ethics. After 37 years at General Motors, he retired to East Texas.
Bill loved God and his family. He enjoyed sharing stories of his family and his childhood. He was an avid gardener and loved everything outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kay Spearman, brothers Jack, Bob, Tony and Joe Crowson, sisters Wanda June Cagle, Sue Middleton and Sonya Kuykendall.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharron 'Sophie' Crowson of Quitman, brother Buster Don Crowson of Arlington, sons Rick Crowson of Lindale, William Dean Crowson of Fort Worth & Larry Jaco Crowson of Frankston, daughters Mona Mallett of Denton, Elizabeth DeAnne Riley of Burleson, Stephanie Cuellar of Arlington, Dana Downs of Arlington and Melissa Brown of Mineola, 16 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.
He will always be remembered by his children for the loving smile he would greet them with when they came for a visit.
