James Bradford Bickley was born to Mary Connelly Bickley and Jack Cecil Bickley on June 24, 1934, in Houston, Texas. They later moved to Dallas where he attended school and college.
James was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He entered into a business in Dallas called Fluid Dynamics with three friends.
James was a lifetime member of Mineola Masonic Lodge and the Shriners of Dallas, Texas.
He was dedicated to serving the Lord with all of his heart. Jim was a family man, loving them to the fullest degree, assuring them he would always love them unconditionally. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Mineola and a member of the Couples Sunday School Class.
Jim enjoyed wood working and did some repair work inside First Baptist Church.
"He could take a plank or old piece of wood and make something beautiful."
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his first wife, Pat; one sister, Ouija Allen.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Lynell Bickley; sister, Barbara Bassinger (Johnny) of Mesquite; daughter, Dorothy Grymonprez (Richard) of Athens; granddaughters Courtney and Catherine Grymonprez; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Tyler, Tx or Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church - Mineola 204 N. Johnson St. Mineola, Texas 75773. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Mark Neeley conducting, Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola, with Jim McClenny, Leon Anderson, Charles Reeves, Fred Underwood, Donald Reeves, Richard Grymonprez serving as pallbearers.
