Obituary for Edgar Bryan Turner
Mr. Edgar Bryan Turner, age 89 of Scroggins, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Edgar was born in Scroggins on December 15, 1927 to the late Tillman and Myrtie Jones Turner. He was a retired rancher, and a Methodist. He married Margie Tibbs on August 30, 1948, she preceded him on August 10, 2008 after 60 years together. He is also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Juanice Wilson, Gracie Harden, and brother, J.C. Turner. He is survived by a nephew and niece, Royce Carol Cone, and Mavis Owens; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro, graveside services will follow on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Smyrna Cemetery in Wood County, Bro. Ronny Spence officiating. Donations can be made to the Christus-Mother Frances Hospital Memorial Tree in Edgar's memory.
