Obituary for Ruth Adele Vance (Cathriner)

Mrs. Ruth Adele Vance, age 89 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012. She was born on May 17, 1922 in Baytown to the late Edward S. and Mattie O. Hopmann Cathriner, Sr. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; hsuband, Allen Vance; and brother, Edward S. Cathriner, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen "Butch" Vance II and Pam Vance of Winnsboro; two sisters, Edwardine Zavodny of Florida, Dorothy Forster of Rosenberg, TX.; grandchildren, Shelley Green of Mt. Pleasant; and Bart Vance of Baytown; and four great grandchildren. Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1pm at the Vance Family Home in Winnsboro. Donations can be made to the Holy Highway Girls Home, P.O. Box 160 Pickton, TX 75471.
